Trioceros johnstoni bwindi

We still waiting for all paperwork, because its not longer aloud to export wc animals from Uganda.
Only farm bred can go out but they need to go by a special CITES commission who is checking if all permits are ok,the farm got all paperwork, breeding animals are legal, farm bred animals are in regulations etc...
This takes months before everything is done.
End of next week I'm again in contact with the head of the CITES commission hopefully everything is done by then so the animals can come over.

Is there any new information? I must admit that I am getting a little concerned that this shipment won't be released.

Commission is receiving the last piece of information about the parental stock from the farm.
This is the last piece of information they needed to complete the screening of the farm.
We still have weekly contact with the cites commission,so lets hope everything is done very soon.

I am quite concerned that this import will never happen. Since I paid in full nearly six months ago, I would like to know at what point you will consider a refund?

I'm not at all happy with the way this has gone so far. Although I didn't pay in full I paid half which was substantial. I was under the impression that they were going to be arriving within 30 days of paying. I hope it works out and soon!

Like i said in another threat, the waiting is because the farm needs to go true a special commission in the Netherlands who is controlling it on several points like parental stock,f 1 animals, proof of breeding ect ect.
This goes very slowly because Uganda is very poor they don't have Electricity or they reach ability is very poor for half of the time.
We have contact with the commission every week so we have a weekly update how things are running.
Last info they gave us is that 90 pro cent of the info they needed is inn so we should go in the final weeks.
Don't forget the small shipment that's enters the US last time took 9 months before they came in so it seems Uganda is very hard to import.
IN my opinion it would be more interesting to wait for this final peace if you see that 90 pro cent is done, but this is off course my idea about it.
I understand people are getting nervous about waiting so long but its not in our hands and like i said majority of the work is done so hope for the positive news in a couple of weeks

i'm just teasing now :)..

This started 4/5, I have an ambilobe clutch that was laid (4/22). I was expecting the johnstonii to arrive before the ambilobes hatched.

Here comes the ambilobes...

Craig, I spoke with you last week about this. To everyone else that is in on this import, it WILL happen. It is just taking much longer than expected. Uganda is ages behind most of the rest of the world and just having electricity some days is a miracle. I am in regular contact with Jurgen regarding this matter. He will tell you how many times I have emailed him just as frustrated as you guys are. It is completely out of my hands now, and neither I nor Jurgen can be blamed. It IS in the final step.
Here is a little peice of a convo I was having with Jurgen last week. Jurgen said, "listen people have to learn that these things are not controlable we are the only company in the world that have a deal with this farm so if the want these exclusive animalse the need to showe patiance, for some species i wait 4 to 5 years that is waioting for exclusive spec ies

it got nothing to do with giving you a bad reputation this is not in your hands people dont understand how it is doing business with people in central Africa its very very difficult when they receive them they will know its worth waiting for these animals,

off course i always do my best but if people want the exclusive stuff they have to wait like all the other clients ,i have a client in Germany who put an or order for 15000$ and he is also waiting for 8 months but he understands that this is his only chance to get these animals so you see everybody is waiting and showing patians as long as it takes !!!
I know its a long waiting but nobody can speed things up its in the hands of the Dutch Cites C omission.

I don't even know why people are complaining, your and Jurgen are well known on the forums its not like you guys are scammers. I wish i could get a pair of these guys if it were me I wouldn't complain one bit just sit back and relax guys, if the pros saying there coming then they're coming.

Well ya haven't heard a peep out of me... I know they'll be here so I'm just being patient..

I spoke with Linda Davison, who was working with the person who imported the last group that recently came to the states. That import took almost an entire year to go through, and arrive.

While it wouldn't be ideal to have to wait that long, the quality of the animals was very good. It's worth the wait to me.

I get your all antsy to get your chameleons, but trust these guys...

Maybe this will help hold some of you over ;)

Well I have been patient, I've only contacted Paul once since May I think. I just wish I would have been told how long it was going to take before I paid. I had no idea it was going to be this long.

It is what it is and I'm still looking forward to receiving them someday.:)

I 2nd that request!!! Man that is one nice looking Johnstoni,I'm looking forward to getting my pair as well!!!!!
