Trioceros johnstonii

Haha no you love me! This post would be non-existent if it werent for me:p lol Anywho...hopefully the shipment will happen sometime in the next few months and youll get your group:)

Just got this guy today, he is CB and around 1.5 years old. I didn't have much time to observe and take photos due to a work conference this week but I really enjoyed watching him for the little time I did. He has a few minor issues but nothing that should prove detrimental.

One question- Can anyone tell me his exact locality? I thought Rowenzori, but I have seen pics of Bwindi that look similar too...
This is a Rwenzori male, coloration of the head and eyes can go from red to orange and almost yellow(depending from what area they came from).
Bwindi always got Blue eyes.
Their is also a ssp Found in Burundi but these are very different in coloration, you will not found them here because Burundi haven't exporting johnstoni's the last 10 years.
Ssp from the Congo and Rwanda are never exported.
He looks very nice to me.

Thank you Jurgen. And that's very interesting... I recently seen someone from EU on facebook claiming to have a Burundi male. I also never knew there was ssp in the Congo and Rwanda.

Lizardlover (Danny) did have 2 cb females last year not sure if he still does or not.
Thanks for the tip man! I'll be contacting him.

Nice pickup man! Hope you get some cb going at some point. I'll get one from you ;)
Thats the plan! ;) Thanks Brian.
Very unique and stunning chameleon! I would love to own on of these someday :)
Well thank you! I would love to be able to offer some one day.

This guy shed while I was out of town, figured I would grab some pics while feeding today. Enjoy!

In this last picture, corner of the right side of his jaw you can see it is black. When his jaw is extended there is a small white spot... Anyone have an idea what that might be?
The jaw feels solid from what i can tell by feeling it.

Thats a sort of dermal pouch(dermal gland) all johnstonii's have this if they get mature (ready to mate )they rub with it against branches to mark their territories probably its got some hormonal function.
They can taste the air with the tip of their tongue.

Interesting stuff Jurgen, thanks! Now I just need some females ;)

Normally after the 20th of march the UWA in Uganda takes the decision to give export license for 2013 or not.
This is the last mail the exporting Farm sends me:Hello Sir,
Thank you so much for the Order and the same time we apologies for the delayed answer.
We'll arrange for that shipment after the 20th March because all of the officers who process documentation right from the Ministry to UWA are currently abroad for a CITES Meeting.
We'll let you know the development as soon as they're back

Danny does not have any johnstonii left. Sorry, it is all you you to supply them in this country - just a little pressure.:D
