UPDATE...and Im mad as h@%!

Im happy to send anyone their name number and address!
Just writing a letter to let them know the substandard, lethal care is getting out in public would work for me!
I wish I had gotten photos, but I know she wouldn't let me now. But I might try

Ill take their address! I will send them a letter and tell them that I have heard abotu the poor care they are giving these poor chameleons and that if tehy had any soul they would change the way they took care of them. then Id go into a short guide of what they should do nad not. Its up to you though. If you feel this wouldnt be good thats fine. =p Just letting you know im definitely willing to help out!

If an English accent might help (they seem stupid enough to care less about truth, more about how it's said) - give me a phone number and it'll be worth a few quid just to put the fear in them.

thank you Laroux and David, and I think Michael (Melric) offered as well.
I will get her addy and pm you!
I do know I will not be shopping in her store ever again
will have to find a new place for small quantity crix!

Are you anti-Petco? Because they have great crickets, totally free of the plague. There's one on Milpitas and one on State.

Nope not antipetco! I was trying to support a mom and pop.
the only thing I don't like with Petco is they keep feeders in the back, out of public eye and I like to see how they are kept. I.E. container is kept clean/what or if they are feeding.
I tried to get the other shop to feed CC, even offered her a bag at my cost, she didn't want it.
There is another m/p in Carpinteria I am going to try

No, I used to go up a couple of times a year to buy rubber stamps at Stampa Barbara... I checked Petco's site to see where the stores were.

I think you should go to Petco and ask to see their cricket set up. I've been in two of them here. In both cases, they had food (not cardboard as I've seen in other stores) and cricket water. They also had an extra bin for the cleaning drill. I asked about it and was told that once a week they moved the smalls over to the clean container, then cleaned out their bin and moved the larges into it, then cleaned out the remaining container for next week.

If they won't let you go back and see, then don't buy their crickets and make sure they understand why.

I will repeat something I've said before, I live in the city that spawned Petco, their corporate headquarters are here, they sponsor our baseball stadium.

I suspect we get the best they have.

But I think you should expect the best and demand it.

I agree, we all should. If we did maybe people (not all, just a broad term!) Would strive to do the best they could, take pride of their work an be honored to put their name on it

I'm with ya! By the way, I love Santa Barbara. I wish I had an excuse to bundle my family onto the train and go back. Maybe I can make the case that we really, really need to visit that Banana Farm and the Santa place I can't remember the name of but it sort of scared my then 3 year old daughter 13 years ago.

Santa is gone. The silly people of SB thought it an eyesore. He now resides down the 101 in Oxnard, but he can still be seen from the freeway, next to the topless bar!!! Go figure

Banana farm gone too :(
I would say come visit the zoo....but between your zoo and seaworld that would seem silly! I love to stay at ah geez my mind is gone, paradise point? Across from seaworld, they have the individual cottages. Love that place

Pretty sure big doggs is gone, but that one I would have to check. I know they stopped the big dog parade, which to me was one of the best events ever! I walked the parade with my 2 french bulldogs and my friend with her 3 great danes! Quite the bunch we were

I need to go away for a the night now...that is just too sad. I treasure my experience with Big Dogs.

When we were dating (22 years ago) hubby made me earrings based on things I loved. He made me a wonderful Calvin and Hobbes set that stands out in one of my favorite stories...but he also made me Big Dog earrings. We went to the Big Dog headquarters (right around Milpitas and State) and were met with icy glares...we just thought we were sharing the love, they seemed to suspect we were infringing on copy right....

While not the best of my earring stories, it is near the top and I'm sad that they've closed that office.

Please let the picture I have in my head be close to what it was actually like! :)
OMG you Americans will have a parade for anything! :D But once you started why stop? From the last few posts I'm concerned that Santa Barbara is coming like a ghost town.....

haha @ David... Louisiana has tons and tons of festivals and parades =p We have one festival that comes yearly and people from all over the states come to see it. (The shrimp and Petroleum festival) Well they hold it in South eastern Louisiana. =p Only 7 minutes away from where I live =p You would love it =D
