From what I've seen, the Ambanjas tend to have a pronounced, protruding rostral process compared with panthers from other locales, but I don't know that you'd never see that on another panther, or that some perfectly good Ambanjas wouldn't have a less developed process. Rocko's markings look reasonably Ambilobe to me (the whitish on the face is unusual - and cool); I see what you mean about the snout. Ambilobe and Ambanja are geographically not that far apart and some gene flow between the two wouldn't surprise me.

As with the snout it is a general rule that ambanja's have the longer rostal facial feature. Does not mean that a ambanja without the longer nose is not a ambanja.
