Vegan.

i'm a man i eat meat. nuff said. when i go out with me boys we make beef jerky and eat it. we go one poker boat cruises crap with the door open. its what we do were men.

if we don't eat the animals the animals will eat us haven't any of you guys seen jurassic park or that crocidile movie

Yeee haw! Well said brother!

No seriously that is freaking hilarious. I am not a vegetarian but I think that with a proper diet (expensive, tons of nuts and oils) a vegetarian can function much better than a meat eater. For the most part though I agree with Olimpia and feel that a typical vegan diet is really only good for monks and ascetics.

Even when you eat veggies your killing animals.
One thing has stayed the same for hundreds of millions of years..... life on this planet feeds on life..

That's is true. The most ethical method of living is to dumpster dive and scavenge anything INCLUDING roadkill. The types of food you must eat as a healthy vegan are quite lavish (avocados, walnuts, spirulina, quinoa). My point is that for personal reasons like health and beauty and lifespan go ahead and be a vegan but if you want to save the planet you need to simplify your life to the extreme and veganism is not practical for this path.

If you want to save the planet, do something bigger than just not eating meat.

The real problem with the meat industry, in my opinion, isn't that it is there, but their practices and ethics. The cattle industry does so much damage to the areas where the cattle are raised.

I think that eating meat is, just like most other things, a choice that everyone can make. However, I encourage people to and applaud people who do choose greener, and more humane choices as far as meat goes. You don't have to sacrifice meat to support a better meat industry. Just choose local, hormone/antibiotic free, free ranged, and humanely killed meat. Not only does it taste better and is better for you, but it supports your local economy and encourages more humane, healthy practices.

Parading around demeaning others because they choose not to eat meat just shows how ignorant and/or single minded you are. Open your eyes.

Anyone who believes that only not eating meat is going to make a big difference in anything but your own lives are also ignorant and/or single minded. You also need to open your eyes. There are more important things you can do than just choosing not to eat meat. There are worse things happening than the practices in the meat industry.
