veil cham acts weird

The light has been out for a few days. I have been misting the cage and I have gave her a shower but she hates it and keeps her eyes closed. I'm calling a vet tomorrow

I understand.... Mine does not like to be sprayed either, but if it's on her terms then she will move into the mist on her own. Funny how they're all differnt and one method doesn't work for all. I would work with her to find a way to get her to mist longer.

I think you're doing the right thing by going to the vet.... Good luck!

Ignore the hate...just chant "drama queen, drama queen" if you have to because she needs that shower however much she seems to rebel.

Think of her as a teenager...she utterly hates what you are saying she should do, but in the end, does exactly what you suggested...Mist away!

One thing to remember is that chameleon's eyes are sort of like human kids' eyes: they show signs of distress even when the problem is not in the eye.

The reason I emphasize misting is that increasing hydration helps just about everything. Lack of hydration might not be the problem, but increasing hydration can make solving the problem easier.

I'm glad you are calling a vet. You might want to print this thread out and bring it along. Sometimes it's hard to remember all the important issues and having this will help you.

Please let us know what the vet says and how your baby is doing.
