im just stepping away from your exact question. in my opinion since your veiled likes eating plants you should try offering other stuff like veggies (carrot,etc)/fruit (strawberry orange, berries, etc)/greens (kale, dandelion greens,mustard greens, etc) just cut it up into small strips and see if your cham will eat it. My veiled wont eat anything unless it moves.
my veiled takes lumps out of her weeping fig and devoured a hibiscus in 3 days, i give her banana, strawberry, carrott and a few greens every so often
only if the stems are broken that the white goo appears, she normally bites the small young leafsdosent the weeping fig have white goo wen the branches break or something like that that can harm a cham??
