I noticed my female displaying this type of pattern lately when she basks under her lights. Not all the time though, just lately on occasions.
I've seen the receptive female video that's posted, and she has displayed those colors along with the gaping mouth when she sees our male.
Lately though, she displays this kind of pattern with the dots being black and her body being a bright green along with the gaping mouth. (When she sees our male) In this photo her spots have a hint of blue as they are lighter.
Does anyone know a possible reason for the coloration difference?
Due to the fact that she still gapes open her mouth, I'd assume she is still not receptive.
She has been free ranged since she was about 10months and no husbandry changes were made, but I did find her on top of our juvi's dripper that is located on top of his screen cage, that is placed in another area of our room. This behavior is also not common of her as well.
She can eat like a beast, but I don't feed her like one. Trying to keep the egg clutches to a minimum.
She laid her 1st and only fertile clutch jan 4th. She obviously has filled up since and is growing her next clutch. Although I'm not sure if some of these will be fertile but can be due to the fact that they can retain sperm from the previous copulation. We have not mated her again and don't plan to anytime soon either.
Any ideas???
