Why such small crickets and fruit flies?

The smaller crickets because he seemed to be regurgitating the large ones and there are two large crickets in the cage that have been there for days. I will try larger crickets again. The fruit flies only because they made their way into the cricket house!

Noticed you said double dome lamp for lights, I've heard that the CFL uvb bulbs are not as good as a linear bulb. Is the uvb bulb a coil style or linear tube style? If it's a coil style, it could be possible that it is irratating his eyes. An example of a CFL can be seen in this photo, either of the two on the right are examples of CFL bulbs. If it's a coil style, I'd suggest getting a linear style of uvb, like a reptisun 5.0 uvb T5 high output(usually considered a really good bulb), a reptisun 5.0 uvb T8, or a reptiglo 5.0 uvb T8. There's another brand called Arcadia, however, I'm unfamiliar with their bulbs. For the linear fixture, try to get one with no glass and a curved, polished reflector built in.

I would like to get that tube bulb at the pet store it’s over $75 for bulb and casing so I need to find it cheaper.

I added more plants and will add more branches. They were out of large crickets at the pet store so I will check again tomorrow. Bought Zoo Multi vitamin but it contains D3 so curious which multi people use

The initial cost for a linear uvb bulb and fixture is high, have you tried an online resell site like kijiji to see if you can get one cheap? EDIT: a used fixture, should still buy a new bulb to be safe.

And I use rep-cal herptivite. Not sure if it has D3 in it as I'm out of the house right now, but I do know it has no vitamin A, instead it has beta carotene.

I'm not sure which one it is for zoomed, but I do know that the rep-cal has phosphorus free calcium without D3 and phosphorus free calcium with D3.

I added more plants and branches. I still have more branches to add. Here’s what I have so far.

You need the humidity to be higher than “45-65” I’d shoot for about 80+ for the humidity and make sure you have all different levels of temperature throughout the enclosure and a chameleon in general doesn’t need any open space meaning you shouldn’t seen screen of the enclosure and shouldn’t see your chameleon all the time if you can look at the enclosure and find it fast that’s a problem...your enclosure looks pretty good I would recommend more coverage for hiding and to be able to find a cooler shaded spot to cool down..i think someone else said more branches I just realized that..hope your chameleon is doing better

I am having a hard time keeping the humidity up. Spray misting,dripper, fogger. Put up bed sheets on sides of cage, seems to help but don’t want bacteria or mold.

Now he is opening his mouth wide and swallowing, he had both eyes closed for a while today and now he has one open.

What are the signs of pneumonia? I am really paranoid as he doesn’t seem right to me. Have a vet appt this afternoon, don’t want to jump the gun because it’s expensive but I want to make sure he’s okay. I have a video but it is too large to upload. Any advice?
