Vet transport info needed

I need some transport tips, sorry i did not search i am running around trying to think of what to get together for the car ride.

Seems she fell from her free range and was all twisted up in the morning when we came into the store. Now she is just chilling at the bottom of her free range with rear legs all twitchy. Hopefully its just shock :(

Timing seems more than coincidental since we are currently super busy caring for 44 of her young.

@ any rate ill get to meet Dr Funk I wish is was just for a checkup though.

I transported JJ in a small plastic shoebox size container. I put a towel in the bottom and along the sides to cushion in case I made a sudden turn in the car and for him to hold on to. He didn't particularly like it, but I don't think there's any safe way he would have liked better.

I hope it goes well.

Ditto, put her somewhere small and dark, with a towel or something on the bottom and go. She'll be safer in there than anywhere else.

I use a box with a dowel or stick inserted through both sides and taped in place from the outside. Then place damp/warm paper towels on the bottom of the box. Less stress than a clear container and most times when I get to the vet they are on the stick asleep or in resting colors.

Place the holes for the stick about midway up on both sides to give some space under the sticks. I just use the box they were originally shipped in to give you an idea of the size of box. Also use a small piece of scotch tape to keep it closed.

TY KJ I had come up with the same so far except a milk crate, its kinda big but ill pad it up.

Anything else i might not be thinking of? Hydration, food etc?

I feel sick, not even my cham :( but shes so cool and i love her babies. I hope it all works out also.

Well turns out Shaolin had a broken pelvis upon recommendation of Dr Funk we had her euthanized.

Not a good day today.:(
