So much blue coming in! He just shed last week and it was like he'd eaten a bunch of blueberrries all of a sudden lol It is shower day, so I will hopefully get some awake photos up another time. I could take pictures of this guy forever.

Whew! Glad I fixed it!

Oh man, I was just getting Vladislav out of his enclosure for his shower, and he absolutely lost it on me. He is usually a really cool dude- nothing much fazes him other than my roommate- but he even lunged to bite me! I was seriously shocked: he has never even so much as puffed at me before. He doesn't even puff at his reflection! Then I realized... a friend of mine painted my nails last night, bright blue. I am not really "girly", so I don't think he has ever experienced my hands with painted nails before. Apparently it is entirely unacceptable. I never guessed that a lizard could take such a strong stance on appropriate female ornamentation lol!

No painted nails!

Finally took off the fingernail polish and got Vladislav into his shower. He's a little light in these photos as the bathroom got a bit warm during the shower. Not scalding or anything, but warmer than I usually have it so he's probably trying to cool down. That, or he got a glimpse of his reflection, but he honestly doesn't respond to his reflection at all: just looks at it, then ignores it without nary a huff or colour change.

He is really really nice looking and seems like a cool little chameleon. Good job on raising him.

I finally got a hibiscus to go out on the balcony for Vladislav to sun himself on. I've been hauling his giant cage in and out the last little while but I got tired of it, so I visited a local cut-price grocery store that has a tiny green house... and they had a braided hibiscus in the garbage! I asked if I could take it, and they looked at me like I was crazy and said yes. It needs some TLC, but I think it should at least last the summer, and if it dies, well, it was free! Vladislav is unsure about this whole "bring outside with no cage" business, but he did enjoy the sunshine.
