Walking down the cage

Hey everyone my panther chameleon about 5 1/2 months old now and he seems to walk down the cage and chill there.... i got vines, a ficus, some foliage, why does he go down there?

Whats the temp at his basking spot? He may be going down toward the bottom to cool off.

His basking spot is around 88-94
