? Washed out Appearance! ?

I have gone round and round with you on distance.... Arcadia is showing distance based on no screen to reduce UVI Level.

LAST TIME I TRY TO HELP....
For a 6% T5 bulb you will have a distance of 9 inches to basking to get a 3 UVI level.
For a 12% T5 bulb you will have a distance of 12 inches to basking to get a 3UVI level.

Distance does not mean you have to drop basking it means total distance between the bottom of the fixture and the closest branch so that in turn means you have the option to raise the fixture up off the top of the cage. OR get the correct bulb strength so it is only 9 inches. WHICH IMO is the best option because as he matures he will rise up higher into the UVB anyways and so will his casque.

VEILEDS CAN NOT HAVE ARTIFICIAL FOLIAGE. What is it that you do not understand about this being an impaction risk.

You have had one die due to an RI... Why won't you listen and implement the feedback given to you? Multiple members now have gone round and round with you about the exact same topics but still you do it your way.
Hi, I'm new. We have Tim, juvy veiled. Plastic vines no good? Or do you mean just big fake plants? Why is this impaction risk? Sorry for my ignorance. And thanks

Hi there. Welcome to the forum. With Veileds they eat their plants to aid in digestion. So if you add fake plants and they pull bits and pieces off this poses an impaction risk. So basically they can not pass it and it kills them. This is why Veileds have to have real plants that are Veiled tested. https://chameleonacademy.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Chameleon-Plants-122819.pdf

Ah! Cool. Thanks so much. Someone also mentioned the plants have to be able to support their weight? The hanging plants listed are sturdy enough, then? So scary, this chameleon stuff.

Hi Tim
They're big plastic bushy plants to help him hide and camouflage behind. Currently, I've a large wide open area, so that's why I'm buying them.

I prefer pothos for plants that produce vines. These are strong enough to handle an adult Male Veiled. Wandering jew are beautiful but will take some damage.
