Oops forgot to add, whats wrong with the zilla tropical bulb? Ive been using that and a blue day bulb for basking, the actual bulb is tinted a very light blue but it doesn't seem to show up blue when its turned on, would a normal bulb be better?
well some people hate the zilla, others (a few) like it.
Personally, i stick with the majority, so I use reptiglo or reptisun 5.0
the blue bulb is just pointless. we are trying to reproduce their natural environment and they wouldnt have blue light in the wild.
a regular house bulb for basking is just fine.
i understand taht it gets really cold during the day.
you can use a ceramic heat emitter and a basking bulb to help with this.
and during the night, they like a 10-15 degree temp drop from basking, so thats ok.
but if it gets below say 50 deg F at night, use a ceramic heat emitter to warm the air some.
this way, they have warmth, but can also have a normal sleep cycle.l
