darn, ive been following this thread for a while now.
and im really sorry to hear that he died. he was a cute little guy too.
i had my first veiled cham die about 2 weeks after i got him :[
he ate some of the perlite in the potting soil that was used in the plants.
i felt so horrible, he was (lack of a better word) pooping, out his own blood and what looked like some sort of guts, i took him to the vet immediatley and they said that it was perlite.. since it absorbs water, it sucked out all of the juiced in his body.. and.. well yea.
I just made it back to this thread. Sorry to hear about your loss. If you think that you will try again, see if you can find a panther that is at least 3 months old. Something in the SVL over 3" will have much less of a chance to get in trouble. What part of the world are you located?
also, if anyone has these symptoms, the way he was sitting (almost vertically) was because there was fluid in his lungs and he could breathe much better that way.
