What Are Your Other Hobbies or Interests?

I like to shoot my bow, hoping to get into some 3D competitions this year. This picture was my first shot ever at 50 yards, I previously hadn't shot more than 25 due to not being able to see well past 25 yards. I had just gotten some new glasses and a new sight for my bow and punched it at half a football field!!

I'm also a lover of orchids. :)

YE-YAH! Another lady shooter in the house! With some mighty fine orchids! Those roots are insane!

I build and ride custom Harley's. Lol

Living in Southern California, I am lucky enough to have great beach conditions, pretty much year around. One of my favorite hobbies is Scuba Diving. I am a Advanced, Nitrox, Search and Rescue Diver.

Also, being in beautiful sunny California I am able to own a few motorcycles, Kawasaki ninja, Honda 900rr, Honda 450 Dual Sport, Susuzki GSXR1000. My bikes are my babies!

My next big passion is my work, I work as an EMT Tech in a ER. I am currently working toward my 1000 hours as an EMT so I can go to paramedic school.

That they are :) I took that big monster to a local orchid society show, and they literally were drooling. Not many people in SC have vandas because they are difficult to grow in lower humidity areas, unless you have the money for a greenhouse. I don't, but one day maybe. For now, my winter "greenhouse" is our second bathroom tub, hehe :) I let the chameleons climb on them, but if I have a flower stalk getting ready to open, I try to keep them off. Any stress to the plant (jostling around) or bumping/hitting/etc the buds can make them "blast" and die. It takes around 4 months for my big vanda to put off flowers. This past summer was just awful growing conditions. I've lost 2 orchids so far, 1 more is looking like it's ready to give up. :(
I absolutely love my bow, I like to shoot guns too.... But even with ear plugs + ear protection things the indoor gun ranges make me a little edgy, because of the noise. BF says I can hear a gnat fart 100 yards away ;)

Haha, a bath tub. That's dedication right there. Go-you. If ya wanna, ya gotta! I have always been too timid to get into orchids. Chameleons are enough sensitive critters for me but I do admire those that have the patience and wherewithal to be able to work with orchids. I have one I received as a gift, those "blue" ones. I do have to say, it does seem hardier than I thought.

Instead, African Violets seem to be my family's thing. We have HUNDREDS. My mother's walls are all eat-up with lighted shelves chock full of plants. I help in the online selling bit. Chameleons sure do love to eat the leaves. I don't blame them...they're so soft, plump, and fuzzy.

Last year I went out to buy a motorcycle with my brothers.....and I came back with this.

I don't know what it was that made me like it so much....but I did. It's funny when we all are riding down the highway because my brothers are on Harleys and a Goldwing. Great stuff!

I like your style! You and I would get along great. All my buddies are too into what they look like when their riding. I love just getting out there and having fun. Have you gotten that bad boy on 1 wheel yet lol!?

I'm hooked on fishing, been that way since I can remember. I fish every chance/ way I can, kayak, Gheenoe, paddle board, wading, gigging, inshore, offshore, totally addicted. Probably averaged about 200 days on the water last few years and the goal is to get the captains license so I can start guiding. My favorite way to spend time is hours sightfishing redfish on the flats with ultralight tackle. The main reason I've been a bit inactive on the forum last few weeks is that winter has finally made it to Florida, for me that means clear water and schooled up redfish. Been out 12 of the last 14 days and trying to figure out a quick trip tonight.

Surfing is my other passion but living in Florida makes for a hard slog, we get just enough waves to tease us so I try to make it to Central America or the west coast at least once a year and get a few weeks of good swell.

You guys and gals all seem like fun people, who doesn't love enjoying the outdoors, shooting, motorcycles, reading and some wood carving?! Quite a diverse group we have but I feel I can relate to all of you.

I couldn't surf if you paid me...but I fish like crazy. We keep getting so much rain that our lake level will not stop rising. I can't even get my boat in the water because its too choppy and the water level is way past my guides.

I had a pond dug out a couple years ago near my boat house. I keep all my shiners and brim in it and just net them out as I need them. Well, as you can see by the picture....my pond has officially connected with the lake...so all my bait is pulling a "free willy". Bummer. The area where the water is making it's way into the pond is usually a 25 foot dry section between the two.

Funny you say that because growing up my mom had a big wire shelf rack with lights with all of her African Violet's on it :)
