I just got a 3 to 4 month old Veiled Chameleon and I want to start getting his adult enclosure ready. What brand of cage do you recommend? And do you guys use a infrared night light?

I recommend a 24x24x48 dragon strand cage enclosure. Other site sponsors sell good cages too. LLLreptile, DIY cages ect.
My house gets down to 60f at night in the winter and I do not use an infrared night light as no light should be on. If necessary a ceramic heat emitter can be used. As long as there is access to a basking spot in the morning veilds don't necessarily need anymore heat than that.

Thank you! My house is about the same. What time do you turn your basking light on? Should it be to as close to sunrise as possible?

It doesn't have to be exact. The general light level in the room may wake your cham up before the cage lights come on depending on the season. I put my lights on timers...the UV light comes on before the basking light so it creates a bit more gradual wake up for them. Then in the evening the basking light goes off before the UV so the cham has time to go to its roosting perch before it gets too cool or night hits.
