Did u ever catch lizards or snakes when u were little or maybe u still do lol, lets hear what kind! I was all about the blue bellies! Some skinks and what I used to call alligator lizards.. How bout u?
 
I've caught as much as I could throughout my life. Turtles, snakes, frogs, salamanders, lizards,..The last time I was in the Florida Keys I caught iguanas.
I love playing with them for a while and then letting them go again :):):)
 
Not really any lizards to catch here in Ontario...but I did catch garter snakes, salamandars, toads, leopard frogs, tree frogs and anything else that I could. Kinda dull stuff compared to some of you I'm sure.

I also saw some massassauga rattlers...but I certainly wouldn't even think about catching them!
 
My first pet was a ladybug in a matchbox, when i was about 4 years old :p Since than im catching every moving reptile, amphibian and insect! All of them :D Snakes, lizards, toads, frogs, turtles, mantids, grashoppers, caterpillars ect... really everything came across :)
 
Back when I use to live in louisiana my Dad use to take me out to
catch the really big frogs, bull frogs I think their called :p

and I use to catch these little lizards too :)
and let them clamp on to my earlobe like earings LOL!
 
I used to catch both Carolina and Brown anoles when I was younger, I would clamp them on my ears too when they tried to bite!
 
Oh god where to start...
I use to catch anything that would move form the Wild quaker parrots, Alligators, Skinks, Snakes, Turtles, Iguanas, Fish (By net). Florida was alot of fun to grow up in for me.
 
Well, i am 42 now and still the odd lady, as i was the odd child, too. I was an only child and amused myself by catching every kind of bug, snakes, crayfish, etc.. My moms fav story is how i kept bugs in an old cigar box in my top dresser drawer, which she would periodically confiscate, and i would have to start over. I love all living things, my two oldest kids, (22 & 19), grew up with all kinds of exotics, and they never have cared for animals, now my 4 yr old girl will pick up a snake with no prob. I finally got a kid like I was! And she loves bugs too!:)
 
I did find a young alligator in the ditch though...not the usual thing to find in a ditch in southern Ontario! It was quite immobile due to the cold when I picked it up and took it home but by the time it was picked up it was quite lively.

Hahaha..that is quite the strange find in Canada! Makes you wonder how it got up there and why anyone would let it go there..People are strange! :p

how do u catch a wid parrot? pulling an ace ventura making bird noises and jumpin off buildings?
 
The 1st lizard i ever caught was a Western Fence Lizard. I love to go out and catch and release herps to this day. I found a lovely banded gecko last weekend :)

oh ya blue bellies all the way haha i lived in az for a min, it was wierd seeing the little geckos out and about for the first time, theyd always jump off the wall and run when i tried to catch them tho..
 
I caught tadpoles and tiny frogs. I took some frogs to school one day. They jumped out of the Dixie cup, and onto my teacher's desk. She screamed.
I got sent home from school that day. :)
 
As a kid I caught everything I could get my hands on. Including Bull frogs, Garter snakes, red bellied snakes (?) , and Jeffersons salamanders ( I think that's what they're called--black with light blue dots)--But the best catch ever???? A parrot!!! I was walking to school one day and noticed a big red, green and blue parrot sitting on a fence. I slowly lifted my hand to it and it hopped on and shimmied up to my shoulder! Of course I took it home to show my parents---You could imagine their reaction! We found the owner (around two weeks later) I reluctantly had to give it back :mad:
