Hopefully picking up my veiled cham on Sunday, wondering what is best to do in terms of preparing a container to collect him in. Shall be a car journey of approx hour, maybe little more. Would shoe box be ok? Need anything inside it?
i dont know about putting stix in the box people do it but it freeks me out im always afraied that its going to hurt itself on the sticks if you hit a bump or somthing. i just put them in a shoe box with a bunch of soft paper towel and let them fall asleep. last time i almost lost a finger cuz lee dose not like to be tuched and he was trying to turn my hand into lunch lol. but once i got him in there he fell asleep and was all good for the move. he was so pissed that i think if i turnd the lights off he would have lit up the room with how bright his colors where.
when I moved into my new house. I had an hour drive. So I got a small box, just a little smaller than a shoe box to put my veiled in. I crumpled up some paper towels to line the bottom. Then sprayed it down with some warm water. Then I put my cham in there and closed the lid. When we arrived to our destination, he was sleeping through the whole trip. I then opened the box inside is cage and he woke up and climbed out by himself. If you can get him to sleep during the trip, then it will be less stressful.
