Hi. I am thinking about getting a chameleon and I wanted to know what types of food you feed your chams. Thanks for the help.

Ok. How do you take care of crickets and other bugs?
Ok. Thanks! So -- crickets kind of suck to keep -- but with almost any insect you can keep them in a bin with some cork bark or egg crates and keep them fed and clean. Cricket containers I cleaned every other day at the minimum. If you keep Dubia roaches they are easier to keep and require mostly spot cleaning if you keep them bioactive -- remove old food and replace.
For other insects, you'll want to do some research on how to keep them. Search around the forums here there is tons of information.
Yup -- smaller. For really small babies people usually stick to pinheads and fruit flies -- but juveniles can do small crickets and tiny dubias if they'll eat them. When they're young it's more important to get them calories so they can grow -- so if you have a picky juvenile cham you can stick to whatever staples he likes best while always offering the others. Around a year you can get away with some tough love to increase variety.
OkYes.
