T.I.A Regardless of price I would like to know what in you all’s opinions is the best incubator on the market. I do not want to build anything or experiment, and no I do not plan on having eggs this year ! I just would like to prepare if I decide this time next year to start a breeding program. :)

I'm sure you can spend a fortune on an incubator and it will work just fine. But you can build one for much cheaper and it will perform equally. There really isn't much to an incubator. It's a box that holds a constant temp...

Ok I will pay you to do it and ship it lol. Seriously I just would like to buy one I am really bad at things such as this.

What are you trying to incubate? Most chameleon eggs need to be incubated around normal household's room temp. Therefore, an airtight tuperware with moistened vermiculite in a closet all by itself often works quite well for people! But it depends on the species you're considering and the temps in your house. I incubated pyg eggs in a bathroom cabinet quite successfully.

I hear the mr148 sold by lll is decent. And it's not too much money, but it's capacity looks small. Other people swear by hovabators which are like $50. And a lot of people just use a closet.

Thanks. I am contemplating this time next year beginning with my veiled’s (female is from Newtons offspring) we shall see! My house has so many drafts because of central heating and cooling (6400 Sq Ft) I haven’t began testing bathroom cab’s etc yet. I would rather go a safer way, this house is busy!

I am on my third clutch of sandfire bearded dragon eggs this year with a 45 dollar hovabator type incubator i picked up at a farm supply store (no fan). Works quite nicely and holds a pretty steady temperature.

Since I plan on expanding my breeding projects to encompass more of my herps I plan on upgrading to a digital model with more consistent temperature and humidity reliability.

Havent decided yet though.... so.. well... i guess i really didnt help you out any now did I? :p
