I am looking for a worm that I can use throughout the week to really change up the feeding. I am POSSIBLY picking up dubia at this reptile show I have on Sunday near where I live and I may get some worms also, so let me know please I would be interested to know what worms and why. I already know wax worms aren't a good feeder lol :p :D

Silkworms are a great staple worm, high in calcium and good for hydration. Butterworms are good too and you can keep them in the fridge for ages :)

edited to change friar to fridge!! D'oh!

So silkworms aren't high in fat? As a person who assumes things, It sounds like they would be lol not to mention butter worms :p.
Would you happen to know a good place that sells them?

If I'm not mistaken silkworms are the least fatty worm you can offer to chams. Are you looking only for worms or other feeders too?

Mainly worms, I get my crickets from reptile food.com which is a fantastic site, Havent had a single thing wrong with my crickets yet and they, three weeks later have seriously only had i think 3 deaths in my bin whenever i clean it. But yes mainly worms, I am looking to get my hands on maybe some dubia also. I have wax worms and superworms atm but I only give waxes as a treat as most people do.

Silkworms are virtually fat free, just like mulerlight :) butterworms are a bit more fatty than silks but nowhere near as fatty as a waxworm.

I'm in the uk so my sites won't really be any help! I hear mulberry farms are good.

Since you're not in the uk you could also get hornworms! I hear good things about those but they are a pest in the uk so I can't get any :(

Yeah I was not too excited about the price on horn worms from Hornworms farm i think it was on the site sponsors lol i think like a 50 count was over 10 dollars plus shipping...ha

Hey there I would also suggest silkworms. They are a good choice and can be fed regularly. Hornworms are also good. Sort of expensive though... I use them as a treat because my veiled is crazy about them!

Just curious though, which reptile show do you plan on attending. I'm just west of Chicago and there is an expo twice a month in my home town but I'm always looking for other ones to go to!

Sorry for the late response, I am going to SewerFest in Sturtevant, Wisconsin this weekend with a bunch of my friends who are into reptiles and all of that.

Ah awesome! Didn't know about sewerfest it looks like a good time. Would only be an hr and a half drive for me so I might have to make it up there on Sunday!
