what is the best veggies and fruits to feed crickets

ok thank you i didnt know if i can use citrus because i didnt know how it would react in a cham ....because i know it is harmfull to beardies and citrus

use collards, kale, sweet potato, carrot, papaya, strawberries... the kammers have a really good wet & dry gutload recepie in their site...

how do you offer the carrots? i found if i just slice oranges they eat everything but the peel... but if i do small chops of carrots they never seem to touch them.

i blend everything & freeze it in ice cube trays. i also use repashy dry gutload in there too. i find 1000 crix will finish off 2 cubes a night. it works great because the gutload stays fresh & the crix aquarium stays fairly clean. they eat everything.

actually im kinda slow with that kinda stuff but kammerflage creations is a sponsor of this site & it could easily be accessed... one ingredient they use which i cant seem to find is prickly pear cactus. anybody have any ideas.

u can just through the whole carrot after washing it ........just place carrot in there and they will tear it up :p

Prickly pear cactus will probably be pretty hard to come by in Canada. In the south and west portions of the United States it is in the vegetable bins of the grocery stores most times of the year. I also have it growing near me so it is not hard for me to go pick some but I have never thought of using it in gutload before.

Should be at one of your local food marts. If not, try a mexican market.

ya i do throw in the frozen cubes. they smother it before i can look away. good advice on the prickly pear cactus, thanks

im a new cham owner and it seems my local pet shop did not have a clue on what to feed my cham and what to gut load, and how often so if you have any info it would be great. I live in manchester in england
