Hey guys,
This is my Jacksons, Xander.
I noticed he was starting to shed a few days ago. It started at his tail, which is now brighter than ever! The rest of his body never shed anything. The only thing that has changed is his body started to turn white up towards his spine. I thought maybe the rest of his body was just about to shed, but it hasn't...
Any ideas?

warm showers is the only thing that I know of. My cham hates showers but it is necessary when he starts to shed :)

Hi, i noticed his eye is closed. Is it just a fluke he started cleaning it right when you snapped the pic or does he close it often?

Please fill out a how to ask for help form.

He fell asleep in my hand.. lol
I was holding him just a few minutes before his lights went out. After I snapped the picture I put him back, and he grabbed onto his favorite vine and started sawing logs again!

As they approach full size they are less likely to do that amazing full body blow off. Things just sort of stick.

As long as a limb (or tail) is not circled by a bit of unshed skin, it's not a problem. It will probably come of in the next shed.

Just make sure you are misting at least twice daily. Ours kind of starts shedding on his tail or on the top of his head, and then a few days later his whole skin explodes off of him.

Beautiful boy you have there. Love the green!

Jackson's tend to shed much slower than other chams, especially as they get older. Even from a young age, unlike panthers, they can send in stages (mine sheds legs first, then tail, then body, finally head).

The white appears to be signs that he will be shedding his body skin soon. Up the mistings and ambient room humidity (if possible). He should be shedding in the coming week.

I have to shower my cham a few times during his shed to help him out, he has a really hard time.
