...Hmmm... Could have a liittllee sambave in him but I would say he is mostly tamatave or masoala? Either way, Good lookin little dude!

he is captive bred, the breeder he is from is no longer breeding. the person i got him from bought him from the breeder. i received him as part of a sambava trio in a trade.

if he is tamatave thats awesome for me because ive been looking for one. i would like people that own tamatave's to give there opinions.

Not an expert but i would put my beans in the pot thats says tamatave :) All of the white on the bottom jaw and gular area, along with the dorsal crest being white.

They can display a green over yellow, orange or even white. The body can also turn solid yellow or orange. Barring can be green, orange, white or even completely absent. <3 tamtaves! If your interested in a left nutt. I have one for trade

I have tamataves.. The orange glowing spot in the center of his side is a tamatave trate for sure. You can see it on Hellboy He is pure tamatave, breed by Ray

Lmao that's funny. I am gonna say tamatave also He is awsome lookin .

there is little doubt that he has got tamatave features in a big way, but imo I still would not rule out some sambava in there. if I was going to cross the locales, he is close to what I would expect some offspring to look like. so maybe the mom was tamatave and the breeder was unaware. are the 3 supposed to be siblings or unrelated? if siblings, photos of them would help too.

I'm so sick and tired of mislabeled locales!! I've got at leat 2 males that were supposed to be "X" and instead turned out to be "Z". and these were sold by dealers who have been around for a while, though not the top-tier breeders. as I'm personally breeding some intentional crosses its not the end of the world, but when I think I'm buying a "pure" locale, it really ticks me off when they turn another direction. the fault may not be the breeders that I bought from, but somewhere down the line either someone was dishonest, uneducated, or they made a mistake that has consequences.

ok, done venting. my bottom line is if I'm unsure about mine, I will never call the offspring definitely pure. all I can do is relate the situation and let folks make up their mind if it's the lizard that they're looking for. and if you're not trying to breed or breed pure lines, then you have yourself a hot looking male!

Tamataves never show yellows, I have seen and now specialize in tamatave and have still yet to see a tamatave with anything besides green when calm, then red and a blue horizontal stripe, but never yellow.
