Found this on google images a couple minutes ago, looked for an answer on the page and didn't see one right away - if I skimmed over it you can smack me for it.

It's too bad there aren't more chameleons like that, I really do like the yellow/orange on pink.

Thanks Kent!

I was thinking tamatave/sambava. Awesome, yet kind of dissappointing that its not a morph. I would love to see these in captivity.

Looks like the heat stressed animals I saw in Diego Suarez while I was there:

Mark - You seem to completely misunderstand what a morph is, at least when talking about panther chameleons. Morphs are hybrids between locales (basically a mutt) and you can't really predict what their coloration and patterning is going to look like. Some look alright and others look like hell. Pure locales, on the other hand, are animals from a particular region and typically more consistent in their coloration and patterning.

I understand all that. I forgot that they were asking about a specific region after seeing the photo. Happens way too often to me :). Either way, I was hoping it was a morph and not a locale that was generally unavailable. Maybe thats what I was trying to get across.

thanks, though.

Very interesting picture, thanks for sharing. I wish this locale was so beautiful when it wasn't stressed, it would be one of the chameleons I'd add to my "wanted" list. I just love red/pink on orange/yellow.

Thanks again.
