Looks like a Ambanja or Ambanja cross with Ambilobe to me but I am a noob so im not sure

I definitely agree, he doesn't look like a pure ambilobe, either a cross or an ambanja...lol your a noob? So am I =D and nice looking cham, whatever he is!!

What makes you say he's an ambanja?

His rostral is not very pronounced and his casque isn't tall either.

I just said that cause of the coloring but I didnt know the rostral and casque difference. I am a noob like I said. Learn something new everyday :D and I am still learning. It looks like a cross to me though. Ambj x Ambil, or maybe just Ambilobe?

You can't tell just by looking at it. However, I'd say he has Ambilobe in him. We can never know whether or not he's of pure locality without knowledge of his lineage.

He looks like a cross. You can tell from the turquiose and teel mixed with green and the way the red extends across his neck, arms, and upper part of his lower body. His casque, crest, and the entire shape of his head lead me to believe he is part Ambilobe as well. I would say if he is a cross then he would be most likely an Ambanja/Ambilobe cross. But i do not know for sure because he might be a cross of more locales than just those two i don't know. But one thing is for sure, and it is that that animal is has nice coloration.

okay, thanks, the breeder didnt know either about this chameleon -_-

just looks like a blue bar ambilobe..almost the same coloring as my male...

yeah, but mine got more red coloration,i think he is blue bar ambilobe cross with other localities.:)

thanks :D

i believe those reds are just from being older..my cham is 5 months old, and looks to be getting those exact reds, actually, lol, even in the same patterns ha..kinda weird..but yours does have some larger red spots, mines just barley coming in..

i would say ambilobe based on the red cheeks, white lips and overall general appearance, but im not an expert...def not ambanja, like kara said they usually have a more pronounced rostral process and casque...but i would just stick with saying hes an ambilobe cross and leave it at that...if the breeder doesnt know the locale information (which is kinda sketchy to me) you just have to go with that, hes a mystery cham but still beautiful nonetheless

the colors mine has coming in seem to be very similar!..the reds on mine brighten up quite a bit if hes walking around..right now hes what i call cooled off..but at 5 months looks to be pretty close..unless i have a cross to..wich is actually possible since i got mine from LLLreptile..

If the breeder doesn know the type of chameleon, it is almost certainly a cross.
Doesnt really matter what type of panther he is, cross or otherwise - Still nice looking either way.

the only problem you will have is if you breed it, you will have to label it as a cross...even if your cham is full ambilobe, and you breed it to an ambilobe you cant truthfully sell it as an ambilobe bc you could have a cross...but as i sid before, its still a nice cham

thanks guys for helping, anyway,he got a black spot in his body, its not a burn i think.. looks like a rub..he alrd finish sheds 2 days ago.. can it goes back to normal after the next sheds?? :(
any treatment?? :(

That is just a bruse and will go away in no time. Your panther is 100% a cross of ambilobe and some other locale. I couldn't tell you what but I am very confident that is a cross.
