Bought at petco just because he or she wasn't looking too good so I hope to give it a better home. I've kept tons of snakes but am fairly new to the chameleon world. Would like a species to get a better understanding of his housing parameters. Thanks in advanced.

Your petco sells pygmys? I have been looking all over for one. None of our local reptile stores sell them and they are sold out online.

First off, thanks remkon..and andrea..according to the guy at the counter they get them in pretty frequently. I'm assuming they all use the same source so you might be able to ask the manager to order them...as long as they don't order more than you want I wouldn't see the harm in asking. Id hate to see them order more than needed and have to stay at the store for very long though...never seems to end well. :(

What region do you live in if you don't mind me asking? I am interested in getting a few potentially. I am in college and don't have a lot of space so with my veiled already, but I would love a couple of pygmy.

So I've got some terrible news. Went to work last night came home today and the little guy had died sometime over night. He was looking healthy when I checked on him before work..what could have caused it? Temp was 72 and humidity was between 70 and 85 depending on if it was after misting (which was done 2 times a day). Pretty bummed about this since I was trying to give him a better life outside of a big chain petstore and I've obviously failed.

Sorry for your loss, possible the animal was a WC that had not been acclimated correctly.

I'm sorry to hear that... :(
I hear most of the pygmy on the market are WC and they can be difficult.
