hi all just a quick question regarding my female veiled cham.
she is now coming onto 11months and seems very healthy just concerned cause i read on average a female should start laying eggs at around 9 months old unfertile of fertile. but there are no signs coming from her at all?
just dont want her egg binding. any help??
thank you everyone:)

She may not have to lay eggs right now.
sometimes- when kept right, with lower basking temps and less food, females can go long periods of time without laying eggs.

the best thing to do is keep a moist lay bin in with her at all times.

Yes as Camimom said keep that bin in there. My Female Veiled is only 5 months old right now but I have kept a bin in there for the past month. I am pretty sure she will show gravid colors when she is approaching the time to lay.

Hi there!

What are her temperatures like and how much do you feed her?

If the temps and food intake are low then the egg production slows down and sometimes even stops. Most of us keep the temps at 80f and feed 3-6 feeders every second day to help slow it down :)

I wouldn't worrie to much, some lay eirly, some don't lay till going on 18 months, as long as your confident with you husbandry an she looks healthy she will lay when she is ready, just keep that bin in there and keep the soil/sand moist and you never no she may start showing signs soon

hey all thanks for the advice helps alot.
well she gets about 4-6 feeders a day with the calcium and d3 dusted on them and the temp is around 89.
yes il put a small moist soil bin for her there.
could anybody refer me or post a picture of a gravid female colouration?? would be nice to see.

thanks again

you shouldn't use the d3 calcium at every feeding. What brand are you using? you should be using a plain calcium instead. They can overload on artificial d3. And I think others are gonna tell you that temp is kinda high for a female veild, especially if you do not want eggs.
I do not own them, but just from what I have read on here.
