We bought a pod of silkworms online and now bob decided not to like them anymore...so the worms used up all the food that wa sin the pod and we were wondering what else we can feed them, do they eat anything? we feed our crickets carrots, strawberries, bell peppers, zucchini, potato, apple, grapes...is that ok for our silkies too or do you recommend something else?

no, silkworms will not eat any of that. They eat mulberry primarily. Do you have a neighbor or someone in the area that has a tree? Just pull off the leaves, but make sure you wash them good. Have heard that you can feed dandelion also and someone said carrots. I feed the mulberry chow and I tried Kale as one other member said his silks ate that but they did not touch the Kale when I tried it. Their main diet is mulberry and that is pretty much it.

for the short term give them
dandelion leaves, shaved carrot, bell pepper
possibly grape vine leaves

But if less than 50% of their diet is something other than mullberry chow or mulberry leaves for more than a couple weeks, you'll find they start to die off.

Ive had really good success using 1/3 dandelion and 2/3 mulbbery (leaves or chow)
