What will hawk moths eat?

So my hornworms that have burrowed themselves are going to pupate and then of course emerge into hawk moths. I was wondering what all do these guys eat? I haven't been able to find much on their diet, someone said just mix sugar and water?! Someone said use honey or hummingbird food? Could I use the sugar and water. If anyone knows about these guy's diet and all things they will eat would be muuuch appreciated!

Yup! I've read this post a couple times, are there other foods/sugary things they will eat?

We just feed them hummingbird juice, or you can use any sugary water.

Okay! Thank you, but yes, people have said they'll only live up to a week at least lol. I actually found some good hummingbird nectar on amazon for like 10 bucks.

We get ours at Walmart.... it’s probably cheaper than amazon.

Okay! I'll definitely check out walmart next time I will get more thank you! I did a little research, they said for the sugary water "recipe" is a cup of sugar and 4 cups of water does that sound fine for them if I don't get the nectar in time?
