WHAT works for YOU...

EXACTLY what to buy with regard to a veiled chameleon set up? I've read and read, and I get more confused every minute. There are so many options. I don't want to have to recreate the wheel spending more and more money. I want to do what works the first time, understanding that as the baby I would get grows, I'd have to get a larger enclosure, probably vertically larger. As I said, I'll start with a baby veiled. and a store bought screened enclosure...

What do YOU have that WORKS? Soup to nuts...please help me separate the wheat from the chaff. Brand names please!!! (I know I'm asking a lot of you and your time.)

Thanks in advance if you're willing to help!:)

Here is a supply list that I compiled. It is the cheapest way you can get started with a Veiled chameleon. I would add the Reptarium Softray liner, and of course some live plants. Than, at 4-5 months, you can upgrade to a 24X24X48 screen cage, and the beauty of it all is that you will have the other cage for cleaning or outdoor sunning.

COOL! I just went to LLL and there is a 10% off any order over $50.00! :)

Thank you so much for you kind replies! Now I have a much better idea of what I need!! My husband and I are going to a large store this afternoon in Reisterstown, MD called The Aquarium Center that has live lizards, fish, etc, as well as any piece of equipment you could ever dream of for set-up of a variety of animals. It is THE place to go in this area. I have bought from LLLReptile in the past so I will no doubt use them too. I'm not sure whether we're buying or scoping today...

Thanks again,
Candy

If you buy anything today it should be the gear required for keeping your little guy. Set it all up and check to make sure all the temperatures are correct, the drainage works, the dripper works and then go out and buy your chameleon another day.

It can take time to setup the cage and all the vines and mister or dripper. Your chameleon will appreciate going straight into a home rather than a construction zone. :D
