When should I upgrade enclosures?

My male veiled chameleon is approximately eight inches. He is currently in the medium reptibreeze (16x16x30) and I have an extra large reptibreeze (28x28x48) that I'm waiting to set up for him when the time is right. About what size should he be before I move him over, or is he a good size for it now? Thanks!

I think your chameleon is ready for a larger cage he is very pretty and I waited almost to late for mind to get a new cage
it took him a lot longer to get use to the cage. I got a 2 by 2 by 4 and it is a very good size and he is beginning to love
it but it has taken 2 weeks for him and I to get the temp and humitidy right. Good luck with everthing

I've been told to move to the big cage around the 1 year mark but I just rehoused my male veiled into his adult cage. My male is just about 10-11 months old and was looking cramped and constantly cruising the small cage. Honestly, I probably should've rehoused him earlier lol.
