alright so i dont remember off the top of my head how old veiled male cham Skrink is, but he's about 5 inches and i'd guess around 9 months. i'm cutting his crickets to 5 large (about 1 inch) a day. is that a good idea for his size? should i cut it down more when he's older? and for the dustings, should i be dusting them all with the calcium stuff or maybe half of them or so?

I dust:
Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday with Calcium
Tues and Fri. with Calcium D3
I feed as much as he'll eat.
I dont feed on Saturdays.

He get natural sunlight from 10am to 5pm Monday, Wednesday, Fri.
and stays outside the full weekend.

i heard from alot of people on this site that its actually bad to let them eat to that point. they can develop some swollen stomach disorder thing or something that i forgot the name of and it cuts the life span down alot :-\ i was doing that too until recently but i looked it up and it made alot of sense to start rationing out the food supply. i'm just not to what point i should go right now and when to stop

my 9 month old cut down his own food intake.when i got him at 4 months he would eat everything he was offered now he eats on average 3-4 extra large locusts a day and has at least one day a week when he won't eat anything, sometimes two or three days if he is shedding

My 6 month old veild is still eating like a pig but i gotta cut down the food for her so she doesnt lay the infertile clutch. I also changed her basking bulb to 60 watt instead of 100. So im gonna keep track of her findings now.

My male veiled is now 7 months old and gets fed every other day. We alternate between crickets and locusts, and he gets fed 6-8 per feeding. I was under the impression that once they reach 6 months, you need to reduce the feeding times and the amount you feed them.

My male veiled is probably about 9 months old too. Usually when he is hungry he comes down to the bottom of the cage where I place his cricket tub. He sometimes goes down there later in the day after his feeding, I am never sure whether I should give him more or not. Today he ate a medium hornworm and about 8 medium crickets. I feed him daily, usually about that amount. Should I alter my schedule/feeding amount?
