When to upsize stick and branches?

As my Cham grows, I want to be sure his terrarium décor does as well. One of the things I did day one when I realized how small he actually was to add "age appropriate braches" for his little feet to grip.

Compared to how big a Chams feet are, or how far around he can grab a branch, what would optimum diameter of a stick or branch be? Should be able to grab all the way around a branch or is having his feet 1/2 way around (3/4 etc.) best? o_O

You just need a variety of thicknesses. You dont need baby branches and big boy branches. You just dont want all the branches to be 1/8" thick and the cham develop "bird foot" where the bones adapt to only one thickness of branch. Hell i have a 6" thick log in one of my cages. Big ol basking spot.

Agreed. Variety is good to work out those foot muscles

I'd agree with the above. Variety is best. I actually have had some rather large branches that I wrapped a vine around to offer foot-holds. This gives tons of options for the chameleon to use and offers the variety of sizes needed for the muscle health.

Since we are on the subject of branches I thought I would let people know Walmart has a crafts section that sells all size and shape branches for floral décor or other crafts. Pretty good prices too and I didn't have to clean them

Niiice. I have bought driftwood branches on etsy before. Still us a couple of them, the work great in the right diameter and some are pretty curved and ornate-looking for a nice natural look.
