There is a cricket under my floor boards and skirting boards who has been keeping me awake for the past 3 nights. If I have to go through one more night of this I will rip the damn floor boards up literally. He is driving me CRAZY. When will he die off? I've nearly caught him SOO many times but I haven't seen him at all today but I can sure well hear him! I thought brown crickets were meant to be silent. I frigging hate these guys seriously, I can't wait til my dubia colony is thriving then i'm only bothering with thesee c u next tuesdays once in a while.

Try lowering the temp of your house, to make it too cold for the cricket, or just be patient it could only be a month at most :p

I don't think I can hold out i'm moving out lol. Seriously though it's driving me CRAZY. He's so damn crafty

Yeah i'm going to try get some of that tomorrow. I've tried making little traps and everything but he's to smart for me lol.

Yeah thats the problem, I nearly did and I ended up cutting my thumb on that red rail with the spikes in that holds the carpet down.

buy a bunch of tarantulas and let them loose in your house. they dont make noise unless they are touching your ear while you sleep. im sorry if you dont think my answers are funny, im killing myself though. good luck.

Ah ha ha.... I know just what you are going through. I lost a roommate when a cricket took up home in the gas heater and it was amplified throughout. My roommate left at 5 in the morning and I never saw or heard from him again.
Then I had to just get used to the sound at night. Earplugs helped when I thought I would go insane. lol
Then the spiders came. Now I dol't have to worry... they will get caught and sucked dry before any night chirps. Just that now I have spiders and webs everywhere. So now I have button quail to go after the spiders. It's a whole eco system in my home these days. lol

Does the sound really bother you guys that much?!:confused: I don't mind it at all. I keep anywhere from 1000-2000 at a time....
