Where can you buy PVC sheets?

I went to my local Home Depot, Menards, etc and everyone looks at me like I am on crack when I ask if they carry PVC sheets like the ones on the bottom cages. I am looking to get some replacements so that I can just throw them in while cleaning the old ones. Anyone ever buy any? If so where?

Usually if you go do the industrial part of town you can find businesses that specialize in plastic.

Look on google for local plastic companies. They sell everything from sheets, celluloid to pvc pipes

They will cut any size for you too. Usually its a pretty reasonable price.

I wish I could give you a name of a place. I bet you have driven by them a bunch of times.

I used to order plexiglass from an industrial plastic place back when I was making car audio subwoofer boxes, but didn't know that they would possibly offer PVC also. I never figured PVC to be a form of plastic for some reason. Thanks, I'll check the yellow pages tomorrow.

Look into FRP - Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Paneling. Its like $35 for a 4x8' sheet at Home Depot.

Well you can just get a sheet of plexii glass in a color tint. That would work a lot better IMO.

The places around here sell PVC sheets too but guess I am lucky. However, I never bought them from the places....Just was bored one day and looked:D

I did actually use plexiglass at first, but then noticed that the water doesn't drain well because the plexi is stronger and doesn't bend like the PVC does when a big pot is on there, so the PVC works good for draining towards the middle of the cage. With the plexi it would come out of the sides even though I drilled a bunch of holes in the middle of it.

Nothing a little creativity cant solve. Maybe think outside of the box for plexiglass. Create a drainage that is built to capture water on the edges of the cage? We all have a little Megiver in us:D

Or maybe just ask the places if they sell thinner sheets of plexii? Im sure they will have PVC there too

Any industrial plastics company will have it and it is called Sintra or PVC foam sheets. Some even have several colors and it is available in 1/8" or 1/4" thickness. The 1/8 is used in these standard cages. Yes, as one said, it comes in 4'x 8' sheets and they will cut it as you need. It is easy to cut with a metal straight edge and a box cutter or blade. Score it with pressure and it will snap in two. I have always paid around 30 and change a sheet, an additional 5 per sheet for cutting and as many pieces as I need cut.

I was just looking for the exact same thing not to long ago & decided to go with 1/4 inch plexiglass because it cost about 1/2 of what PVC sheets do, and the closest place to me that sold it was about 50 miles away, and at over $100 a sheet it just wasn't cost effective for me. You can google Sintra or Coroplast or PVC Sheets to get manufacturers. Shipping is pretty expensive due to the oversize shape of the standard 4x8 sheets. Hopefully you have better luck in finding some than I did!!

Instead of looking for PVC sheets, search for PVC foamboard, you will get a lot more hits that way. I had the same problem looking for mine in the UK.

wow i really need to go back a page for now on it should be illeagal to drag a thread up from that far back hahahahahahahahaha my bad

Hi friends, i think PVC sheets can be purchased by famous PVC suppliers like i got madaanindia. so many other sites are available to provide information. According to my opinion i would say to go with madaanindia, because my friend had experienced from them. THeir cost is very low than other PVC suppliers.
