Where is everyone?

Yes that would be wonderful except for the first time MY hubby may join my sister & I.:( I love him to death but do enjoy a couple of weeks away on my own. Guess we will see.

Well, then I will bring my hubby and they can keep each other company! :) We will let them take us to dinner and such! :)

I miss allot of the experienced members that use to post such as Brad Ramsey, Camgirl and Dr. Wheelock as mentioned along with Royden, Vertex, Chams 1, Tygerr, Justin Carl, Nicodemayo, jojackson, PardalisGirl, Will Hayward and Frans (dodolah) just to name a few. I know we all have very busy lives and we have to put priorities first but they are still missed.

I was just thinking about all of those people. I'm still here though, I did stop coming on the forums for about 6-8 months about a year and a half ago, but now I am more active. I am from 2007 though :)

some are still here lynda. Myself, i like to read along silently. simple husbandry mistakes rarely go unnoticed on this forum. No need to preach. Cross your fingers... around this time next year i may have a little ball of ambilobe joy for you as a token of my appreciation for all the help you have given me directly & indirectly... if you have the space that is...

My personal "story"

It's strange....the day I pop in to answer a Pm...I see this thread. I've not had time to post like I did in years gone by. My husband developed major heart issues which then caused problems in his kidneys. He was hospitalized several times. He's had multiple surgeries and sees four different specialists on a regular basis. That went on for about ten months. His situation is now greatly improved and we are back to a normal life now. I also edited and helped him write his 2nd book which is off at the publisher now. I spent hundreds of hours on that project.

Through all of this I maintained a large collection of various chams and geckos. Now my husband and I are making a huge change in our lives. We are relocating to Northern Idaho and buying a house with lots of acreage. I'm going to have about a year of moving things from one house to the other and maintaining two houses. After we are moved totally into the other house we are going to build a barn so I can get a horse. I rode a lot when I was younger and it's always been a dream to have a property where I could have the horse right where I live.

I am keeping a small number of chams and a small number of geckos. Last weekend I took everything I am not keeping over to Eliot and Sandy Gesang's house. They will be selling them in the future after they get settled in, etc. Some of them are "scratch and dent" chams that have tail nips or damaged snouts due to branch chewing. I kept those around as personal favorites but they need good homes now. I'm sure people can get really good deals on that sort of cham. Until the Gesang's have time to get them all settled in, etc. I hope people won't bug them to much about what they have to sell. They need time to do pictures, etc. In addition to the chams I gave them over 40 crested geckos including some of my long time designer breeders.

Anyway, I still have chams and geckos. Moving to Idaho with me are two adult iguanas, Veileds, Ambilobes, Ambanjas, Nosy Bes, Tamataves, Melleri, Crested Geckos, R. Leacheanus Geckos and a U. Fimbriatus Gecko. I will still have a very nice collection :)

That's the story regarding my long absence from the forums. I will greatly miss my local chameleon friends in Washington state. Not sure how many chameleon/gecko people I will meet in person in Northern Idaho.....

Draetish/Donna sold all her chams. She lurks the forums on occasion though. I saw her on here last week and said hi.

WOW, didn't know I was missed Eltortu, you made my day. Like TP Man said, I did re-home my chams and have been really busy, but never too busy to check in with my cham friends. I see alot of new members and glad the old ones are still around too!
