i got 2 umbrella plants from a local garden shop and can tell which variety they are because they didnt have labels, can anyone help me as they all look the same to me??

if you want to do it that way goto photobucket or imageshack and host it there by browsing for it from your computer then it should get you a list of links. you can either copy and paste one of the links or get the "direct link" at the very bottom and copy that then when you post your reply click the little image button that looks like mountains and a sun at the top of the box and paste that direct link into there and it should work

That looks like Schefflera arboricola

That is a good plant. What is the difference between the two you are asking about.

one has all green leaves except a few at the bottom where theyre diein off (PIC), the other has yellow patches in the centres of the leaves

The yellow leaves just mean its variegated. It is the same plant and is safe as well.

I have seen a lot of them. You can google the plant and see lots of pics.
