Matching white spots on either side of body and on spine of back. There when purchased. changes opposite color of body. If she is light the spot is dark. If she is dark the spot is lighter. I am a new to the chameleon world. Please help. She is what they said a sub adult. She just laid an infertile clutch of eggs. Other than that very active and roams the 24x24x48 zoomed write mesh enclosure with lots of pathways and plants

From looking at the light areas along the spine, on the top of her casque, and the discoloration on the side we can see near the top of the ribs, I'd suspect thermal burns. These are very common sites for burns to show up. Burns won't change color in the same way the normal skin does which you are seeing. We don't know how severe the burns are, but first thing is to check the temperature right at the basking perch directly below the basking bulb. You may need to move the bulb farther away from the cage top. Also, to help heal and prevent a secondary infection you can apply some OTC Polysporin, a triple antibiotic, or get some Silvadene burn cream from a vet.
