White urates with orange tip?

Just wondering if white urates with an orange tip is normal. Maybe 1/8th of his usual urate is orange - the rest is bone white. I've only had this 2-3 month old veiled for about a week and have yet to see him drink. He has a dripper on for most of the day and I mist him 4-6 times. He eats voraciously. I haven't seen him drink or get remotely close to the dripper. He otherwise looks good.

The orange does generally mean dehydration but I wouldn't worrie that is a small amount but jus keep a eye on it see if more becomes orange

sounds ok.... a small amount of orange on the tip is not a problem.. as said above just keep an eye out for an increased amount of orange...

If its a tiny amount, then its probably nothing to be worried about.
Sometiems when they hold it iinside for a while, it can dry out. and look like they are dehydrated when they arent.

but if you are really worried, just mist more.

Cant go wrong with that.

Right...the part of the urate that is older tends to get more dense and darker colored. This would show up on the tip that gets expelled first. The "fresher" stuff should be white and soft. If your cham is defecating less often it can be an early indicator that he's a little dehydrated.

Yeah, it looks like how you described. Kind of a small, hard yellow "plug" and puffy white clouds after that. :)

He poops 1-2 times a day, so I'm not too worried about that.
