current pic of where I'm at now and I'm right in the middle of it all, it's been raining all day and has recently turned to freezing rain/sleet. Thankfully it's been very warm here the days leading up to this storm and the ground is still warm so the roads won't get bad at all unless it starts to come down super heavy. But it seems to be slowing for now so we'll see. Btw my power hasn't even blinked here, so I'm hoping there hasn't been many outages across the region
You guys all stay safe, Its even getting pretty nasty up here I cant imagine what you are going through down there. Wishing you, your freinds, family, and pets the best
I really didn't know how many of you are in harms way from this horrible storm. You will all be in my prayers. Please check in when you have a chance so we know you are ok. God bless all of you and keep you safe.
Apparently , Sandy took a sharp turn from where it was supposed to go , because we're not getting touched at all here outside Albany . Hoping those of you whose homes got hit evacuated in time .
Quiet this morning, lots of branches down outside. We lost power to half the house. Switched off all reptile heat and light sources and not fed them for a couple of days prior. Figured moving enclosures would be more stressful than just slowing down for a day or two!
We are all good here.
Oddly enough, we didn't even really lose power. All the family and chammies and geckos are safe and sound, basking away.
We got over5 inches of rain, and I'm sure there is lots of storm damage, flooded roads and such, but aside from my patio flooding, we are Meade and sound!
we got alot of wind and rain up here in ontario. i had to collect my wagon from it blowing away down the yard but lucky no damage. the rain seems to have stopped. we never lost power thank god. i hope everyone else is safe.
We never lost power last night. That was really surprising... no damage to my house or garage (yay)... I am watching my parents' house too while they are in Thailand and their house is fine.
Oh yeah... and the eye of the hurricane is always kind of creepy to me. This was the 2nd one I remember being in... they showed on the news the moon shining down from within the eye
Everything is okay here. Never totally lost power. Wind was unbelievable! Cham is still in the window wondering where the sun is. Actually he's still a bit upset about not going out for our daily walks! I can't even explain winter to him - how do I explain flying debris?
All is well near Pittsburgh here. Never lost power and the rain has stopped for now. I'm just hoping that the thousands without power on the coast get the electric back on quickly and a quick clean up of debris!!!
