Who's gonna be able to make it in Lawrenceville, GA on October 25-26 for the Expo? Asia (my girlfriend) and I will be running the Georgia Bugs booth :)

I would love to go!! I live about 3 hours drive from there - and with gas prices the way they are - I don't know if I can talk the hubbie into going or not. Plus, he thinks I need more reptiles like I Need a hole in my head. If I do get to go, I will stop by your booth! Do you know if they ever do shows in Savannah???

Stop by and say hi :) I'm not sure about shows in Savannah, a lil far for me ;-) I agree with you on the gas prices, but if you can manage to go, stop on by the booth.

And I understand your husbands problem ;-) I want a panther here soon, and maybe some dart frogs!

Yep, if everything goes right I should have about 10,000 small silkworms for sale :) Don't think Im going to be able to bring eggs, might throw them in an icebox and bring some out. I'll also have some famous Cricket Crack from Steve for sale as well :)

Keep an eye out for the Georgia Bugs banner, stop on by and say hi.

Well it's getting close to that time! This weekend, the 25th and 26th!, anyone else coming?

I am definately thinking about going, i have soccer games and my ACT test but if i can squeeze it in i will definately come!

Hope you can make it! If all goes according to plan, I'll have the internet at the booth, quite possibly will be on this forum and the Live Chat while Im there. Thinking of bringing the webcam and things as well ;-)

Are you in Savannah? Where do you get your supplies?

I am in Metter - 60 miles west of Savannah. We actually have a cricket farm here in Metter (Mccorkles) and I can get any size cricket that I need. Also, Armstrong Cricket Farm is located in Glennville, Ga and ships for about $3.00. I get my waxworms and superworms from them.

Ol' better in Metter huh? Yeah Im located in Pooler. I will look into Armstrong Cricket Farm. Thanks for the info

I just got back from the Reptile Expo! Had a blast and realize my want list is so much bigger than my wallet. ;)

Picked up the following...

FL Chams: Male Juvenile Veiled - although I was admiring the Mellers - hopefully that will be next, but I want more experience first. Great selection.

Georgia Bugs - Silkworms + Chow (Nice to meet you! This is AJ!) Fantastic service, thank you so much. My girl already enjoyed a few.

Armstrongs Crickets - 1000 Crickets + 5lb feed

It was hard to pass up on the beautiful beardies I saw as well. And I found out that scorpians smell quite awful. ;)

I was so glad to see you AJ!! Im glad your girl enjoyed the silkies :) You should've tried some of the Cricket Crack I had at the booth rather than the 5 lbs of cricket feed from Armstrong, which is a good company, but sells quanity rather than quality items. The cricket feed they sell is an entirely chicken grain based feed, not overly healthy for crickets, but gets the job done. Cricket Crack is loaded with vitamins and minerals from ground vegetable ingredients, rather than the cheap chicken feed base. I just wanted to clarify that as I've been doing it a lot today already ;-)

Again, glad to see you out there AJ, hope to see more of you out there tomorrow :)

Hey Dave! I won't be there tomorrow. :( It was a hell of a drive and it must be THE weekend for accidents on the highway. Over two hours each way! :/

I picked up the cricket stuff from Armstrongs before I passed your booth and I only came by with a certain amount of money; next time I'll know to bring more, hehe. I had to pass on the cricket crack today, but wrote it down on the business card you gave me. I'll make sure to get it with my next order. I'll PM you when I'm ready to order.

Next time I'll know to make a lap around before buying, lol.

Also thanks for the advice on how to set up the silkworms. I did exactly as you said. :) Hope your business goes well this weekend.

Now if only my new little guy would calm down....yeesh.

Edit: Quick question Dave, how should I store the premade chow? Room temp..or? Thanks!

Refrigerate it.

And don't worry about it, just give me a shout when you're ready for another order :)

I totally forgot about that this weekend - else I would have dragged the wife on the drive with me :/ gotta work tomorrow..

I think there is one in B'ham sometime soon that I'll likely try to make it to
