Why I couldn't breed Amy and Tommy

That is a thought, but whoever would take the eggs will ultimately be in the same position as I and we would both be looking to the same shops/market to seell them on. I just wish I didn't live on this stupid Island.:(

Thats a good point Tiff. If you want to do it for the experience then I would think just incubating a few of the eggs would be good. You get to go through the entire experience and then in the event you are stuck with the babies you would be able to handle them as long as you had to in order to find them a home.

Yeah maybe try geckos lol.
But Im sure you could be able to find buyers for the babies.

Otherwise (highly doubt it though) you can end up in my situation, have a female veiled breed, lay 35 eggs and only have 2 healthy fertile eggs left!

I dont think I would ever out of a large clutch, only let 4-5 live. Its the same as abortion. In my eyes its not right.

From a developmental perspective that's more like a female taking the pill, the fertilized egg does not implant and can't grow so it is flushed out. It would be more like an abortion if you let the eggs develop for about a third of the normal development time and then destroyed them.

I agree and it looks like its time to get a gecko!. :D or 2

I am already thinking about getting a Crestie. I won a photo competition on a UK forum so am spending my gift certificate on a new viv! I am not jumping into getting a gecko yet though, as if Tommy's foot gets worse and he starts falling he will need the smaller viv himself. I am sure that the new viv will house a gecko at some point though!:D

If I were in your spot I would co-ordinate with one or two of the London shops and see if they would be willing to take in most of your hatchlings.

It would be a journey but at least you would know you could get them a place to find them a home.

Despite where you live, it seems like you have access to a lot of locations you could probably get your babies to.
