Im wondering if anyone's cham is going on a hunger strike for winter yet? Louie seems to not be eating crickets, but hes had some horn worms over a 2 week stretch, and thats it. Im just curious if anyone elses cham has stopped eating any food.
Yeah i can say the same. My guy normally eats 4 dubias yesterday he only wanted 2 and the same with crickets he only ate half.. I think maybe its just the colder time of year and they are on a different schedule
That's what I was thinking too. My veiled male hasn't been interested in anything - just about every 3 days he'll eat 5-6 crickets. Of course my ladies eat everything all the time!
Our big male panther is having his winter strike now.... he eats like 2 every 2 days...
-My Female Veiled is an Eating machine.....
-Flap neck is on a diet i think.... she only eats when she feels like it
-the Baby Panther is an eating machine too
-Mellers baby is just picky i think... could be the cold..... see what happens
in the spring
- New female Blue bar is a shy eater, never see her do it, just hear it from the
other Room (kind of a clanking noise as the Crickets get slammed in
tot he side of the cage)
- Pygmy is a Chaser! its funny to watch her hunt!
2 to 3 days of not feeding will be okay (I am assuming your chameleon is an adult male veiled or adult male panther).
My veiled has also slow down his eating habit.
I believe it's due to the drop in temperature.
