So its about to start getting cold...what are some ideas for "insulating" my enclosure? my husband said some cardboard peices on the 2 sides and back...i said plexiglass...any suggestions?
trying to keep humidity up...cant have a real plant (kill em and enclosure a bit to small yet with the way its set up)
i know the cardboard can catch fire...but none of it would be near or touch lights. not sure of the plexglass...any cautions?
5 month old Panther btw

I havent had to line any of my cages yet. Ive been thru several houston winters with chams. As long as the temp doesnt drop below 60 at night your fine. As far as humidity goes I mist at least 3x and sometimes more per day and I mist heavily. (esp when using the central heat)

We bought a roll of clear plastic, sort of like a thin drop cloth, from Lowes. So we can take it on and off, we simply put a strip of velcro around the top and 2 sides of the cages along with a strip across all three pieces of plastic. This way when we want to help keep humidity up during mistings, all we have to do is stick it right on. It comes right off so that it still looks neat and tidy and so that when we no longer need it (usually late spring - summer here in NJ) we don't have to worry about it being up there permanently.
