Lol If we're on the topic of dating...
Once a couple years ago I was on a blind date with a friend of a friend. We were sitting there at dinner and neither knew of each other's pets. So very uncomfortably he mentions that he has an unusual pet, but it reluctant to tell me about it. I said something like "try me, I bet mine's weirder." It turns out he had a pet rat, which he was sure was going to be a deal breaker with all women, but was greatly relieved when I told him I had four chameleons (at the time) and bins full of bugs for them.
The relationship never went anywhere but it was funny how scared he was of his pet rat costing him dates. My mom and grandmother are terrified that my chameleons will cost me relationships as well but I haven't found that to be true at all. If anything, it's a bigger draw since it's so different.
