Not sure if he is dehydrated but when he is sleeping his eyes sink in and when he is awake he looks like this! his eyes do not look sunk in to me but then again im used to seeing him daily so i probably can not tell! please let me know if is is ok! i just can't get this off my chest!

by the way these are just photos, and the plant(s) shown here are not used in his husbandry.

(i apologize for some blurry photos he was very difficult to take photos of and as you an see in some photos he is very camera shy (he runs away when he hears the appearature))

The best way to tell if they are hydrated is by the color of the urate. There are normally do parts of each poop. The brown half and the white half, if the white half is solid white then your chameleon is hydrated. If it is yellow or orange then your chameleon is probably dehydrated. How are you providing water for him?

sorry i had forgetn the pictures..:p his urate is white:] how do i know what is his urate and what is his poo? sometimes i see some black/brownish goo/balls on the leaves and sometimes i see some type of other liquid that looks like bird poo! before when i used to feed him lots of silkworms the white liquid was LIQUID looked like diareah now the white liquite is a little solid but still liquid (maybe it is because i saw it when it dried up)

Provide water with a dripper, and i spray him when i see the humid levels reach to 35-30% i spray inside his cage for a good 3-5 minutes or until his humidity levels reach 70%. i do not spray him directly though, just around his cage on leaves.

Most poo is 1 part brown and 1 part white with no goo. I dont know too much about the poo, just the basics. Look around on here for answers like that.

ease more feedback :]

i was just looking around his cage right now and saw a 2 long brown things are they poop? it looks like it, i can describe them by saying they are dark brown almost black about half an inch and looks like a small thick wood...

I just explained it in my earlier post. The brown half is the digested food (poop), the white half is the urate (chameleons's form of urine).

lol sorry i was a bit confused i thought you meant it was one whole thing stuck together and that was not how it looked like :p they are two separate things one is way under the cage (the poop) and the other is on the leaves usually (smeared gross) the white fluid.

yes he is been acting normal. :] he eats right the only thing he won't eat are super worms but i think it is because i just started giving them to him about 1-2 days ago..:/ he eats crickets and silkworms.

also they pull their eyes in when they feel threatened.
If his urates are white i would say he is is most likely not dehydrated.
When you spray the cage make sure it is a fine mist, let him see what you are doing and ease the mist over so it splashes over him.if he hates it he will move out of the way.Mista actually enjoys this and will often drink while i spray him.
I also have a dripper set up that he positions himself under at times.
I did read somewhere not sure if it was here or somewhere else that the best place to observe plumpness of eyes is from behind.

Another test you can do to check hydration is look for skin tenting. Take a fold of skin (like along his side) between your fingers and release it. If the skin stays in a fold after you release it, he's somewhat dehydrated. If the skin flattens out right away when you release it, he's OK.

Carlton: hey that's what i was told to do with my Dog Luke :] well since in ca. is sooo hot (my area) the vet gave us tips and that was one of them! :] i didnt know it worked with retiles...!

When i mist he seems to stay in one corner and opens his mouth and closes it looks like he is drinking but not sure. sometimes he will get like puffed up and stay in the same place or sometimes he will just run away.

what do you mean "observe for the plumpness of his eyes"?
