Wow! Is this real?!?!

If this is a real picture this is the most amazing chameleon I've EVER seen.
If the colors on this guy really are real could someone tell me what species it is for sure (it looks like a veiled to me) and I were i could a little guy THAT spectacular??:D

That's probably edited. I personally don't think a chameleon can turn into every color like this. It looks like a veiled chameleon. If you look at the leaves, they look smoothed and touched. Like I said, probably edited but I may be wrong who knows.
 
It is a female veild and yes they have enhanced the colors. you can make anything look like that purplish tone if you mess around with the saturation, color, and tint. The blue and yellow(but still looks enhanced) is normal in a female veild when they reach sexual maturity. The purple is not.

Actually, there was an old thread about this. The photographer actually stumbled across the thread and chimed in. The pic is in fact real. I can't remember if he "tweaked" it just a lil, but for the most part, what you see is what you get...
 
Wow she is gorgeous and when you say for the most part do you mean that the purples and what not are over exaggerated? and could you by any chance post the link to the thread?

Really? Wow that's crazy! The colors can't be real though. I've never heard of or seen a chameleon like this. He probably did tweek it a little bit. Look at the leaves and look at his leg. It's very smooth.
 
it looks like that was done with an increase in contrast, saturation, and color intensity, which would easily manipulate the colors into more of a neon representation and naturally show the purple :)
 
Oooooh. thats much more realistic. I was amazed at the thought of something that vibrant. Either way though its still a good looking cham!
 
Panther lovers watch out!!! If Veiled's start looking this good I bet lot's more people would start collecting them. I have seen more then my fair share in real life buy never with this kind of coloration!!!
 
I knew it too! There is no way there is purple like that on any veild I have ever seen. From the original picture posted, it is edited way more than I thought though.
