Yellow white and pink ambanja

Sorry man, still looks like a cross to me. Now, keep in mind that this is just my soul opinion! He is still a gorgeous animal! :D

Lol it's all good. I could care less if he's a cross - but he was advertised as an ambanja from chamalot chameleons. Dez would really be the only one to know if his bloodline has been crossed

Not really, she could have gotten a female that was crossed or from a different locale on accident and not know it! I purchased a male from Mister Twister from Dez myself, but he passed away in a 2 week time period! She was really nice to have given me a full refund on him! She had an out break of coccidia or kidney didease that claimed a few of her males as well. It was heart breaking seeing him pass away so fast and not be able to do anything about it!

We had studded our Mister Twister to a friend of ours female. He had gotten an ambanja female from a local Orlando petstore. I kept 4males that paring as and I believe he wholesaled the rest.

Three of the males we sold at repticon with no local label . Cooper was a late bloomer and nobody wanted him because he was later to color up....so since he was the only one left he was grouped with the other Mister twister offspring

The other clutch of Mr T babies that where sold on the forums was from a well known ambanja line from heroic chameleons. Some of these also sold at Repticon under the label of ambanja local

I had an large outside cage with young 3 males in it. One of the three is one that chamcapture had gotten. All the males died suddenly and I believe they where exposed to some kind of toxin.

I did run fecals on all our chameleons (kept indoors) and did not find much more than a few pinworms.

We have not had any more sudden deaths or trouble since then and I still have several mister twisted offspring I have chosen to hold back. The common factor in the deaths where the outside cage I kept them in .

Wow that really sucks :( cham capture I get cha, I just meant Dez would know much more than me about the lineage ahah.

So cooper was one of the only mr. T babies sold out of that group on the forums that didn't pass? Since he was from a slightly different clutch?

There are other mister twisted offspring on this forum that are doing very well. The 3 that died where 3 out if 7 that I had at the time.. the 3 where outside and the other 4 where inside. The 3 outside died for whatever reason . Poison, pesticides or coccidia from eating wild anole is all w theory

The 4 kept inside are still doing quite well

Also I feel I should mention I had a female unrelated to the twister bloodline also pass away of similar symptoms about the same time. Also kept in the same area of the yard outside but not in with the males of course . So I believe whatever killed them was enviromental

So Dez, is it possible that your friend got a mislabeled locale female from the pet store in Orlando? Just wondering why you sold them at the repticon show without a locale labeling? Were you sceptical on the locale yourself? Do you feel Cooper is 100% Ambanja?

I am not sure, his coloring is turning out to be very unusual.

We keep good records of the females we breed. So I was a little skeptical yes not knowing where this girl came from.

The pet store could have sold him a female that was not an ambanja but labled her as one. They did not give any bloodline information.

It is impossible to tell what local a female is and you have to trust what a person tell you she is.

Thanks, I think that is the case here. I think the pet store messed up! I very much appreciate you clearing this up for me!

That animal is gorgeous no matter what he is.

Nickbugeater: Is that the same male? Beside the obvious colors. His head shape, barring dont match from the first pic to the second pic. Could be the angles but looks like two different chameleons.

Funny how the picture of a beautiful chameleon is not what all people see but a label of what this chameleon is and then get lost in debate. I for one absolutely love his colors, truly stunning and have never seen that before. Ambanja...Cross...mislabeled..."properly labeled"...AMAZING.

I have a general distrust of pet stores. But I know my friend would not have purchased her if she was labled as anything other than Ambanja since that was the only local he works with.

All I can say for sure is that Mister Twister is Cooper's father. And Cooper is turning into a very beautiful unique chameleon

Agreed, all panthers are gorgeous to me. Mother nature can't be wrong. They are all unique in there own way. If they were all the same the chameleon world, just like the human world, would all be pretty boring!!

I agree with that as well, I NEVER buy animals from a pet store...NEVER! I believe you 100% Dez, I think your friend was the victim here. Regardless of Cooper's purity he is a VERY, VERY unique animal and I think he is wonderful!

I think you're missing the point here. The debate is not how beautiful the animal is, we established that already. My point is, if you bought a purebred English Bulldog for $2000 and later on you find out that it is possibly mixed with something else and you couldn't safely feel that you could breed him down the road, wouldn't you be upset? Well, I would be! If the OP loves his cham and isn't going to breed him, that is great. I'm just merely stating that if he bred him, he can't sell the babies as pure Ambanjas that's all.

Yeah he's the same guy. I wish I had the money and space for more lol

There is just something awesome about Cooper!!! I love the red stripe down his back, the teal through his lateral line, and the pastels behind his eye. He's a beaut!
